Hi! I’m a writer based in Austin, Texas♡ 

I was previously the music editor of Austin’s alt-weekly newspaper, The Austin Chronicle. Prior, I wrote a weekly music column called Faster Than Sound from 2019 to 2022. My writing has appeared in Texas Highways, Texas Monthly, and Vice.

• Moderator: I host author talks and festival panels, previously at live events produced by South by Southwest, Future Front Texas, and BookPeople. 

• Researcher: I provide research for documentaries, films, and podcasts, especially on pop cultural and Texan topics. 

I’ve been interviewed on TV and radio shows including NPR’s Here & Now and CBS Austin. I was awarded the top prize for music journalism from the Association of Alternative Newsmedia in 2022. At the Austin Music Awards, I won Best Music Journalist in 2020 and 2019. I grew up in San Antonio and studied journalism at the University of Texas at Austin.
